The Charlie Brown Christmas tree notwithstanding, it would appear that the glorious evergreen Christmas trees are being replaced by plastic replicas. The Christmas tree first started to be promoted in then the mid 1800’s and about a similar time in when Queen Victoria and Prince Albert were photographed around a shrub which Prince Albert brought with him. Once it had been ascertained that the Christmas tree was not a pagan symbol it started to be widely accepted in houses in the Western world. Today it is the magical indication that the Christmas festivities are starting.
